Guy Pearce, the English publisher unveiled at a press event last night in San Francisco that this time Codemaster has the idea of making the sequel of off-road racing with an extreme sports attitude. This time the games presentation will be rock solid. The teaser video reveals a collection of strong game story, half naked women and general madness. Being still a racing game this time they have included stadium rally events. The game play video showed a fictional stadium built around London's Battersea Power Station. The set has a strong industrial look and feel. The general feeling about these stadiums is massive, with crowd sizes going from 40,000 in Grid to 120,000 in Dirt 2. The game engine showed some other enhancements like advanced water physics and puddles to be at least a foot deep. Races are held in less expected spots of London and Los Angeles including Croatia, China, and Malaysia. The game’s multiplayer mode will let you be able to take part in online matches against other drivers in real time. All these will surely excite you enough to remain glued to your play station.

Filed under: If you've been meaning to pick up Soulcalibur IV -- which was released about a month ago -- but have yet to, then perhaps you've been waiting for that demo that was promised. If you find yourself in with that crowd, perhaps getting some playtime with the newly released demo off the Japanese PS Store will tickle your fancy. The demo, which is completely in English, weighs-in at about 879MB. It'll allow players to fight a few rounds as either Cassandra (pictured getting whacked in the head) or Nightmare (not pictured). For those of you who want to check out the weapon-clashing blades of SC IV, log into your Japanese accounts and download it. For those of you who don't have a Japanese account and are not in a rush, there's a pretty big chance of seeing the demo on your local PS Store update tomorrow.

Filed under: How's that for an attention grabbing headline? Who doesn't like free coffee and doughnuts? So if you're going to be at PAX, or even if you're just in the area, come by Top Pot Doughnuts (at their 5th Avenue location). Not only will there be free stimulants, but you'll also get to meet up with other PlayStation fans (including myself) and potentially win some prizes. Bring your PSP.The breakfast meet up will be taking place between 8:30 and 10:30 (in the morning, naturally) on Saturday the 30th. That's this coming Saturday. If you're going to be attending, be sure to let the PlayStation Blog know via Facebook or email them. Don't forget to tell us too! Do so in the comments. We'll see you in Seattle.
