According to Third-party giant Electronic Arts Dead Space Extraction will marry the innovative motion controls of the Wii Remote with a frenetic first person perspective to create a new action-packed horror experience. The game will be a prequel to the original and you will be playing an all new character, a female character. Dead Space Extraction is an all-new original game set in the Dead Space universe designed specifically for the Wii. The game features an all-new story that details the events that occur prior to Isaac Clarke's arrival on the USG Ishimura.
In Dead Space Extraction, gamers will take on the role of an all-new heroine and join a group of colonists struggling to escape the infection that has corrupted the Aegis VII mining colony. In a release, revealed a few general details about the game, stating that Dead Space Extraction introduces new characters, weapons, enemies, puzzles and cooperative multiplayer gameplay. This is the single greatest multiplayer mode ever. Nothing beats that feeling of blasting enemies with someone playing right beside or online. They also say in an interview with IGN that the game will be an on-rails shooter in the vain of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles & House of the Dead.
The game is also being developed by the core team that developed the original title so, you can count on it being dark, moody and a bit scary. Not only have they given us this great info on the game but, there is also a new trailer featuring actual gameplay. It is definitely looking promising.
